Sleeves


Ceramic Coated sleeves are ideal for protection of shafts against frictional wear, corrosion and wear by abrasion experienced in normal pump operation. Ceramic coated sleeves perform much better compared to hard Chrome plating or any other type of Protective coating.

The life expectancy for a Ceramic coated sleeve is 3 to 4 times that of a normal un-coated sleeve. Longer life expectancy results in higher production, less downtime, reduced maintenance cost and higher earning by reduced inventory.

These coatings are available in various configurations such as – Chrome Oxide, Aluminium Oxide & Aluminium Titanium Oxide to suit the customers varied requirements.

 

Chrome Oxide Coating

Features
Exhibit excellent resistance to abrasion, cavitation, erosion and corrosion by acid, alkalis and alcohol solutions. Typical hardness of coated surface is 65 HRC

 

Typical Application
Pump Seals, Pump Plungers, Pump Impellers, water turbine nozzles, Diesel Cylinder Liners, thread guide, Draw Drum, Soldering Iron tips heater tubes, Buffing Fixtures, Plug Gauges, Cam followers.

 

Aluminium Oxide Coating

 

Features
Exhibit excellent resistance to corrosion by acid and wear and has very low coefficient of friction.  Typical hardness of coated surface –55 RC.

 

Typical Application
Pump Seals, Wear Rings, printing rollers, paper feed rollers, wire guides, wear plates and slide-ways.

Aluminium Titanium Oxide Coating

Features
Exhibit excellent resistance to corrosion by acid and wear and has very low coefficient of friction.  Typical hardness of coated surface –60RC.

 

Typical Application
Pump Seals, Wear Rings, shaft gland packing areas
